Pantheon 2010 - a perfect blend of art & science!

A techno-cultural festival “Pantheon” was recently held in the premises of R.N.S Institute of Technology where more than 2000 students from different engineering colleges participated in the fest.  The two day event happened on 26th and 27th of March 2010.

There were interesting events like fashion show, choreography, debate, mock placement, marketing, street play, business quiz, perception contests, etc. The theme of the fest was “Samskruthi Suggi- to bring back our culture.” The highlight of the fest was the fashion show which captivated the audience and the show was won by the students from Ramaih Institute of technology. There was short movie competition on the first day which was judged by Tarun Sudhir, a well established actor and Santhosh, a commercial short movie maker. Students from P.E.S.S.E and R.N.S.I.T walked away as winners for the short movie contest. On the second day, there was war of DJ’s which was won by the students from J.S.S College. The chief guest of the fest was the acclaimed music director Guru Kiran.

There were various shopping stalls and food courts put up in and around the campus. Students were seen savoring samosas, golgoppas, dosas, and other yummy stuffs. The core committee members were seen making all efforts to make the event a grand success and indeed it was one rocking fest!

Preetham.B.S, a core committee member says: “We worked for over a month on this event and the response was overwhelming. There where participants from various colleges taking part in huge numbers. The judges had a tough time taking decisions as the competition among the teams were strong. The support and encouragement that we got from our principal and juniors is really incredible.” There were technical workshops by eminent speakers from leading research institutes as well as events like Robotics, Paper presentations, Coding, Web designing, etc conducted during the fest. On the whole, the fest gave a perfect platform for all the students to showcase their technical, managerial and cultural skills.
