Footwear for 2010 Summer!!

Fashion is incomplete without a perfect pair of stylish footwear. This year the emphasis is more on comfort factor than simply style.

The first which comes to mind when you talk about shoes trend for this year is booties which are an amalgamation of shoes and boots. Booties are not only comfortable but also look chic and stylish. There are several big trends to be excited about this year. But topping the list are Gladiator sandals, color sand patent finishes.

In women's shoes, the style of the season is still the platform, but thongs are always hot when the temperature is climbing rapidly, and wedges are on their way back after a brief disappearing act over the last few seasons. The wedges in bold colours with ankle straps are again a hit this summer. The colors that would be the rage this season for high heel platforms sandals are bright colors like cherry red, fuchsia, turquoise, silver, gold, and yellow. Burgundy, coral reds, orange shades, sandals with blue tones etc will also be ‘in’ for summer. Sling back platforms, peep-toed platforms, and sandals with bows in leather or suede, platforms with sequins, platforms with straps, cage sandals, not only look chic and classy but also racy. Gladiator sandals, bright colors, color-blocking, prints, patents ... these are just a few of the hottest trends in women's shoes for summer. While men's and kids' shoes don't change quite as dramatically, there are a still lot of great styles to choose from.

Sandals are big this summer for both men and women. Bright and funky colours will dominate the trend and the classic blacks and whites should be kept aside. Flat sandals in various colours are in for women. For evening, the classic stilettos still rule the trend and open-toed sandals are big hits in the market now! Peep toes will be seen in evening parties. Flip flops, pumps, flat shoes in the funky colours and designs will be seen in every pair of feet for both men and women. The key is footwear that spells comfort and adds style to your clothing during this heat.
