With the advent of summer, Bangalore, as an upcoming fashion destination is viewing a variety of hot trends. As the temperature rises, people of this city are succumbing to the seasonal demands of shorts, racer backs and ganjees without compromising on their style and comfort.

As the global financial crisis has begun to wane, people of Bangalore have taken this opportunity to not only splurge but set a course for the Spring/Summer trend. Bangaloreans easily capture the essence of what exactly fashion is: its dynamism and its constant state of flux. So, say HELLO to glares and shorts and lots of yellows and b-bye to blacks and dull greys.




Summer fashion is all about the huge flowery prints, the loose t-shirts and the bright, energetic colours. As the unapologetic sun burns down our necks, it’s time to take out the cotton, clean-cut tops and sheer material dresses. If you are not a big fan of western clothes, there is always the organic printed Kurta’s of Fab-india or Westside. Another summer staple is the long, printed and crunched up skirts and cotton capris. Avoid layering and wear clothes that lets your skin breathe. Splurging or rather investing in good linen top in white, beige or a pastel shade is a good option.

If there is a budget crunch, delve deep into your closets and look for an old pair of jeans, crop them up into funky shorts, wear your basic T’s and throw in a pair of Osho chappals and you are ready to roll!!
